Ken's Story
I try to be a good christian guy....( and my family and friends rock!) Been doing radio since i was a kid... Jocked, Programmed, and Engineered all over the place.. WKMX, WTVY, KLAA, KFOX, WZMP, WJDQ, WMOX, WMYQ, WQST, WZQK, WBBN, WXRR, and WZKR, and WMMZ.
I launched Meridian, MS's first "Good Time Rock-N-Roll" Oldies 979 WMYQ back in the 90's.
Helped crank up Dothan, Al's monster 95.5 WTVY as "New Country 95.5" and even scored an "ADDY".
A mixed format, known as "The Hit Music Channel" 103.3 WZKR back at the turn of the '00. In the Engineering field, i constructed WQST-AM, WZQK-AM (origionally), and the "Listen to the Eagle" studio at the Mississippi Network.
I love weather, worked with Radio Weather Network doing forecasts for various stations; BS in Geosciences, and B'Cast Meteorology. On the side, doing voice work for Dodge, Schools & Colleges, and have been the voice of WMER, WMXI, WXHB, flipped WSLY (urban) to Jack (rock) and most recently fired up East Ms' and West Ala's first FM Southern Gospel Station, the 50,000 watter Y-104.9, and the legend (sis) 670 AM WYLS.
Ken is also the founder of "Ken Michaels" Daniel Chapter One Health Center 1, a complete "full line" carrier of biomoleculer nutrition, complete vitimans, and God made natural herbs. The store is located inside the Y104 Broadcast Center, on Highway 11 between York and Livingston, Alabama.
